Saudi Ambassador in Amman Naif Al-Sudairy and the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini jointly opened a Saudi-funded health center designed to serve some 300,000 Palestinians in Al-Zarqaa refugee camp in Jordan. The project was financed by the Saudi Development Fund. In a speech on the occasion, Al-Sudairy cast light on Saudi Arabia"s contributions to charitable work aiming to alleviate the sufferings of the needy people worldwide in cooperation with the United Nations and relevant organizations. For his part, Lazzirini thanked the Kingdom for its continuous support to the Palestinian refugees, while welcoming its donation of $27 million to support UNRWA services. The event was attended by Director of Palestinian Affairs Department at the Jordanian Foreign Ministry Eng. Rafiq Kharfan and Governor of Al-Zarqaa Hasan Al-Jaboar. — SPA
