A girl child had met with a tragic end when she drowned in a stream in Wadi Hanifa in the Saudi capital city, the Riyadh Civil Defense announced on Thursday. The body of the girl was retrieved by the Civil Defense rescue team members. The Civil Defense said in a statement on its Twitter account: “The Civil Defense in Riyadh pulled the body of the girl from the stream of Wadi Hanifa. She died by the time of pulling her from the stream,” the statement said. The Civil Defense urged the public to monitor their children and not allow them to approach water bodies when taking them out for recreation. It also cautioned not to cross torrential streams or let children play around water-gathering areas.
