Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman made on Monday a phone call with King Mohammed VI to congratulate Morocco for its historic World Cup victory. During the call, the Crown Prince congratulated the King and people of Morocco for the historic achievement of its national team in the World Cup in Qatar. Morocco made history by becoming the first African country to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup. “What was achieved by Morocco is an Arab sporting achievement that made everyone happy,” the Crown Prince said while wishing success for the Moroccan national team in the semi-finals, to be held on Wednesday. On his part, King Mohammed thanked the Crown Prince for the congratulations to his country’s national team and for his noble feelings towards Morocco and its people. Morocco crushed Portugal 1-0 on Saturday to become the first African and Arab country to qualify for the semi-finals in World Cup history.
