The spokesperson of Saudi Arabia"s Commercial Ministry, Abdulrahman Al-Hussain, has revealed that more than 450 of commercial concealment (Tasattur) cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution in 2022. Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya, Al-Hussain said that there are important numbers that clarify the integrated efforts of the governmental entities in the tastatur program. He noted that during 2022, 127,000 participatory monitoring tours have been conducted that are directed to the environmental ports in all of Saudi Arabia"s regions. He added that there are 646 violations issued by the Committee to Consider Violations of the Anti-Commercial Concealment Law, noting that the financial penalties that were imposed over the violators exceeded SR14 million. Moreover, Al-Hussain explained the way they follow up these commercial violations, saying that in the previous ways used in monitoring methods, the observer was to directly visit the establishments to make sure and check on the complement of their papers, financial transactions and their licenses manually, in addition to making periodic scheduled visits. He noted, however, that, by now all the conditions and requirements are available in the electronic system of each establishment in terms of its information. Al-Hussain confirmed that the information has been unified in one e-screen of the National Program to Combat tasattur, which has facilitated to ministry to follow up the establishment and verify their papers and their fulfillment of the conditions, and by that it will direct the monitor to the violating establishment and placing it under supervision.
