Johannesburg, Rajab 9, 1435, May 8, 2014, SPA -- South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) appeared set to win a strong majority in this week's elections, taking nearly 63 per cent of the vote when the ballots had been counted in almost 70 per cent of voting districts Thursday, dpa reported. In the 2009 elections, the ANC took 65.9 per cent.
