Bamako, Jumada II 12, 1435, Apr 12, 2014, SPA -- Disappointment was rife in Mali after Prime Minister Moussa Mara announced a new cabinet that "changes nothing" in the conflict-ridden nation recovering from a 2012 military coup, local media reported Saturday, dpa reported. Mara was expected to reduce the number of ministers to cut costs and appoint a new generation of politicians who have fewer ties to previous governments and the former colonial power, France. But the cabinet he announced late Friday brought few changes. Eighty per cent of the ministers retained their posts, while most of the new appointments were from the ranks of deputy ministers. Mara reduced the number of ministers from 34 to 31. -- SPA 20:00 LOCAL TIME 17:00 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1219920
