Berlin, Muharram 26, 1435, Nov 29, 2013, SPA -- The majority of Germans favour the coalition agreed to this week between Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives and her former Social Democratic (SPD) rivals, according to a poll published Friday, dpa reported. In the survey for broadcaster ZDF, 52 per cent of respondents said they were satisfied with the deal struck Wednesday by the SPD, Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) and their Bavarian-based associate party, the Christian Social Union (CSU). Only 26 per cent had a negative opinion while 22 per cent did not have an opinion at all. On Friday, the CSU became the first of the proposed three new coalition members to officially sign off on the deal. -- SPA 22:02 LOCAL TIME 19:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1173420
