Athens, Rabi'I 29, 1435, Jan 30, 2014, SPA -- Greece's budget surplus for 2013 will exceed 1 billion euros (1.35 billion dollars), said Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Thursday, which would mean the country had achieved a key condition for receiving additional capital from international creditors. "Based on recent data, the primary surplus has been reached - and I would say it exceeds 1 billion euros," he said during a speech in parliament. Greece, which is currently in its sixth year of recession, can only seek more debt relief from its eurozone partners and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) if it posts a surplus for a full year. According to dpa, it has already received two international bailouts totalling 240 billion euros since 2010. --SPA 20:47 LOCAL TIME 17:47 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1193722
