Dr. Al-Sheikh, Sheikh Al-Deen sign executive program for rehabilitating Russian imams, and muezzins

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh signed Thursday with the Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia Sheikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen, the executive program of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) previously signed between the two sides in Islamic fields. The two sides agreed to carry out the MoU"s executive program through diplomatic channels for the years 2023-2024-2025, holding scientific training sessions in Russia for rehabilitating preachers, imams, and muezzins to introduce Islam and explain its virtues, tolerance, and fight against extremism. The executive program also called for both side clarifying their position on current issues, and supplying copies of the Holy Qur’an of King Fahd Complex to the Russian Muftis Shoura Council and the religious administration of Muslims in Russia. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance reaffirmed that under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Russian President Vladimir Putin, relations between the two countries experienced significant growth and cooperation in a variety of fields. He added that the Kingdom made historical progress in a short period of time, particularly in the services it offers to Muslims around the world, such as tolerance and opposition to extremism. Dr. Al-Sheikh receives head of Bangladesh’s Dr. Farooq Dr. Al-Sheikh, meanwhile, received the head of the Ahl Al-Hadith Association in Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah Farooq and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting the Kingdom. The two sides underlined the strong ties between the two countries, which are based on understanding and cooperation in various fields that serve the two countries. The minister stressed the important role played by the Ahl Al-Hadith Association in spreading true Islam, teaching people about their religion, and employing modern technology to serve Muslims, wishing the association success for what serves Muslims in Bangladesh. Dr. Farooq praised the fraternal relations between the two countries and the Kingdom’s support to the government and the Bangladeshi people. Dr. Al-Sheikh meets Ethiopia Dr. Haji TofaThe minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Dr. Al-Sheikh met with Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Dr. Haji Ibrahim Tofa and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Sheikh underlined the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under its wise leadership continues to help all Muslims. For his part, Dr. Haji Tofa affirmed that Saudi Arabia is the backbone of Muslims in the world, hailing the humanitarian services provided by the Kingdom to Ethiopia.
