Washington, Rajab 3, 1434, May 13, 2013, SPA - Syria's convulsive civil war will be a key topic when President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron meet Monday, the White House said. The 10 a.m. EDT Oval Office meeting between Obama and Cameron will also likely deal with global economic issues ahead of the Group of Eight meeting Cameron is scheduled to host in Northern Ireland June 17-18, White House spokesman Jay Carney said. "The upcoming G8 will of course be a topic of conversation," Carney told reporters, according to a report of the United Press International (UPI). "The United Kingdom is hosting that important meeting on the international economy. "They will also clearly discuss Syria. They will probably discuss Iran. They will probably discuss the Middle East peace process and a whole host of other issues. That is always the case when these two leaders get together," Carney said. Obama and Cameron are scheduled to hold a joint news conference after their meeting at the Rose Garden, next to the Oval Office, at 11:15 a.m., the White House said Sunday night. --SPA 11:26 LOCAL TIME 08:26 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1109594
