The blast partially destroyed the embassy building located in the al-Andalus district in central Tripoli and also badly damaged several nearby cars. The injured guards are French nationals. The child, who is Libyan, was inside a house opposite the embassy when the car bomb exploded, according to the agency. No one has claimed responsibility. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius condemned the attack as an "odious act" and vowed to catch those responsible. "In cooperation with the Libyan authorities, the state services will do everything to shed full light on the circumstances of this odious act and to quickly identify its planners," Fabius said in a statement. --SPA 12:59 LOCAL TIME 09:59 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1101948
