Antananarivo, Shawwal 15, 1434, Aug 22, 2013, SPA -- Madagascar will hold presidential elections on October 25, after several delays, the electoral commission said Thursday. If required, a run-off would take place on December 20, when parliamentary elections will also be held. A court last week removed the names of three high-profile presidential contenders, including Andry Rajoelina, who came to power after a coup in 2009, and ousted leader Marc Ravalomanana's wife Lalao. According to dpa, the third person is former president Didier Ratsiraka, who was ousted in 2002. --SPA 19:40 LOCAL TIME 16:40 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1139260
