Rabat, Shawwal 19, 1432, Sep 17, 2011, SPA - The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) condemned Saturday the continued bloodshed of peaceful demonstrators in Syria and Yemen. In a statement issued this morning, ISESCO said this stubborn insistence on continuing the policy of repression, murder and torture is a serious violation of human rights approved and called for by Islam and adopted by international forums. In the statement, the ISESCO deplored converting many of the schools in Syria detention centers where citizens are tortured and their rights and dignity violated. ISESCO called for an immediate halt to these repressive policies, which will not achieve peace, security and stability in these two countries, but developments will lead inevitably to serious harm to the interests of the Muslim world. ISESCO urged Muslim countries to take a unified and strong position to stop the bloodshed and protect the Muslim world which is threatened by the risk of serious and severe challenges in order to effectuate the principles of the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Charter of the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture "ISESCO". --SPA 12:10 LOCAL TIME 09:10 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/925518
