Islamabad, City, Rabi'II 7, 1434, Feb 17, 2013, SPA - Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari met here today the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan. Government sources indicated that the two sides reviewed during the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing progress (of ties) in various fields in addition to regional and international developments of mutual interest. President Zardari stressed Pakistan's commitment to continue its support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for the liberation of the occupied territories. For his part, President Abbas thanked Pakistan for its contribution to his country's accession to the United Nations as an observer state.
