UNITED NATIONS, Shawwal 22, 1432, Sep 20, 2011, SPA - President Mahmoud Abbas has told the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon he will seek full U.N. membership for a Palestinian state. Abbas told the U.N. Secretary-General on Monday he would press ahead with plans to ask for a Security Council vote on Friday on Palestinian membership, according to a report of Reuters.
