Islamabad, Safar 04, 1432, Jan 08, 2011, SPA -- German Foreign Affairs Minister Guido Westerwelle arrived in Lahore today on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, which is aimed at discussing ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. Pakistani officials explained that the plane of the German foreign Affairs minister was diverted from Islamabad to Lahore, due to bad weather and thick fog that blanketed the airport of the capital city. During his visit, Westerwelle will hold a series of meetings with Pakistani officials, led by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani as well as a round of detailed discussions with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi . He will also tour areas affected by floods in Pakistan to inspect the conditions of those affected.
