Washington, Muharram 08, 1432, Dec 14, 2010, SPA -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and the foreign ministers of Canada and Mexico met in Canada on Monday for talks focused on trade, regional security, and fighting transnational crime. Hillary Clinton, Canadian Foreign Minster Lawrence Cannon, and Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa gathered in the town of Wakefield, near Ottawa, to prepare for a meeting of their heads of states early next year aimed at increasing cooperation in trade and security efforts, as well as dealing with the threat from Mexican drug cartels. U.S. officials said the three heads of states would focus on Central America and the Caribbean, including the situation in Haiti where the disputed presidential election there late last month has increased tension in a country in need for international aid in the wake of a devastating earthquake and cholera epidemic. --SPA 11:05 LOCAL TIME 08:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/845329
