Paris, June 14, 2010, SPA -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy is hosting later today a "working lunch" for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the ailing peace process in the Middle East, the French President's office confirmed Monday. The Palestinian leader arrived in the French capital on Sunday night and had a private dinner with French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner before undertaking his official activities Monday. On Monday morning, he attended the official inauguration of the "Mahmud Darwish Place" in the sixth district of central Paris in the company of Paris Mayor Bernard Delanoe, according to a report of the Kuwaiti News Agency "KUNA."
