Baghdad, Muharram 12, 1432, Dec 18, 2010, SPA -- Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is expected to present his new cabinet to parliament in two days, it was reported on Saturday. Al-Maliki has filed an official request for parliament to vote for the new government in a session on Monday, al-Arabiya Television quoted parliamentary sources as saying. Last month, parliament voted to re-elect President Jalal Talabani, who then appointed Al-Maliki as premier for a second term, ending a stalemate that had dragged on since the March 7 parliamentary vote.
