SRINAGAR, India, Ramadan 04, 1431/Aug.14 (SPA) - India re-imposed a curfew in Kashmir on Saturday and deployed thousands of police, officials said, a day after four protesters died in fresh demonstrations that have so far killed 55 people, Reuters reported. The two-month-old protests, have shown no sign of abetting despite calls for calm by public figures, including separatist leaders. The latest violence started with the death of a teenage student in early June. Most deaths have been from police firing into protesters, Reuters disclosed.
