PRAGUE, July 07, 2010, SPA -- Czech President Vaclav Klaus will appoint a centre-right government headed by Prime Minister Petr Necas on July 13, Klaus said on his website on Wednesday, clearing the way for major economic reforms planned by the incoming cabinet. Necas, the leader of economically liberal Civic Democrats, has been in talks with the conservative TOP09 and centrist Public Affairs to form a cost-cutting cabinet, after the three won 118 of parliament's 200 seats in a May election. Necas was appointed prime minister on June 28. Since then the parties have agreed on most budget consolidation issues as well as individual government positions. Parties are expected to end talks on programme issues on Wednesday and resolve procedural issues of the cabinet's functioning by the end of the week, Reuters reported. After the appointment by Klaus, the cabinet will have 30 days to win a confidence vote in parliament, which should be no problem given the parties' majority. This would be the biggest majority held by any Czech government since the country split from Slovakia in 1993. --SPA 12:54 LOCAL TIME 09:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/799775
