40 Killed Outside World Food Programme Office in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan, Muharram 19, 1432, Dec 25, 2010, SPA -- A blast at a food distribution point in Pakistan killed at least 40 people and injured 70 others on Saturday, a senior government official said. Sohail Khan of the Bajaur Agency told CNN a suicide bomber blew himself up near a World Food Programme distribution center. Jackie Dent, a spokeswoman for the United Nations World Food Programme, confirmed that the incident happened outside a World Food Programme distribution point in Khar. Dent said food was being distributed at the time of the blast.
