ZAGREB, Rabi Al-Akhir 05 , 1432 H. / March 10, 2011 -- Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Friday rejected opposition pressure for an early election, saying she will only call a vote after her government completes accession negotiations with the European Union, AP reported. Croatia seeks to conclude the accession talks with the EU by June, hoping to become a member by at least 2013. Opposition parties have demanded the government immediately set a date for elections, which should be held by March 2012. Thousands of Croatians have been marching in recent weeks demanding the government's resignation over falling living standards, unemployment and alleged corruption.
