Washington, April 20, 2010, SPA -- An international conference will take place in Kabul on July 20 to demonstrate support for Afghanistan’s government, U.S. Afghanistan-Pakistan envoy Richard Holbrooke announced Monday. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other senior foreign officials will participate in the event, which follows the London conference on Afghanistan in January, Holbrooke told reporters at the State Department. The conference will be an “affirmation of international support for the government,” he said.
