Washington, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 22, 1431, Oct 30, 2010, SPA -- President Barack Obama confirmed Friday that authorities had uncovered a “credible terrorist threat” against the United States following the discovery aboard cargo jets overseas of U.S.-bound packages from Yemen containing explosives. “I want to update the American people on a credible terrorist threat across the country,” Obama said at a White House news conference. “An initial examination of those packages has determined that they do apparently contain explosive material,” the U.S. president said.
