Awarta, Palestine, Rabi Al-Akhir 09, 1432, March 14, 2011, SPA -- Israeli Occupation Forces have put Awarta village under severe military restrictions and demanded over loudspeakers that all residents between ages of 15 to 40 years to head towards a Girls High school in the village. Qais Awad, the Head of the Village Council said the Israeli army informed the residents that the police will come to check their fingerprints. He also confirmed that the soldiers began beating anyone who did not comply with their orders. "Five civilians were arrested (in this operation). Additionally, Awarta was declared as a closed military zone," Awad said.
