Islamabad, Safar 14, 1432, Jan 18, 2011, SPA -- Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various spheres of common interest. This came during a meeting between Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikha Hasina Wajed, on the sidelines of the summit meeting of the World Future Energy at its fourth session in Abu Dhabi. The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) quoted a Pakistani official as saying today that the two sides agreed during the meeting that took place last night, on the necessity of cooperation in the fight against terrorism and work to defeat extremism in the region. President Zardari said Pakistan attaches great importance to its historical, cultural and religious relations with Bangladesh and hopes to strengthen the bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
