LONDON, Safar 23, 1432, Jan 27, 2011, SPA -- The Times newspaper in London says that a British bank has frozen the account of Iran's English-language television service, known as Press TV, according to AP. The Times said Press TV had more than 100,000 pounds ($160,000) in the account at National Westminster Bank. The bank said it would not comment on individual accounts. The Foreign Office said it was not involved in the issue, which it described as a private, commercial matter. Lauren Booth, sister-in-law of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, works for Press TV. She calls the reported closing of the account «a politically motivated act.» -- SPA 19:21 LOCAL TIME 16:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/859850
