Washington, Dhu Al-Hijjah 18, 1431, Nov 24, 2010, SPA -- U.S.President Barack Obama will speak by telephone with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak to discuss a crisis sparked by North Korea’s artillery attack on a South Korean island, the White House said. Deputy spokesman Bill Burton said aboard the presidential airplane that the call would take place as part of U.S. dialogue with Seoul over the incident, but he said the timing of the conversation was still being scheduled. “The president will speak with President Lee,” Burton told reporters, adding that Obama believes Pyongyang is not living up to its international obligations. Burton said there were no plans for the U.S. president to make a formal statement on the crisis, which comes days after revelations that North Korea may have a new uranium-enrichment facility. --SPA 11:11 LOCAL TIME 08:11 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/838946
