Amman, Safar 29, 1432, Feb 02, 2011, SPA -- The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation announced today that the volume of U.S. economic assistance to Jordan will be maintained at the current levels of $ 360 million in economic aid and $ 300 million in military aid to enable the country to address economic, social and security challenges. An official statement issued here this morning said the size of U.S. aid for the current year (2011) has been approved, adding that it would also be the same amount of assistance for the next year too. It stressed that this assistance comes within the purview of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Jordan and the United States.
