Ahmadinejad appoints former IAEA envoy as new atomic chief

Tehran, July 17, SPA -- Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has appointed the former envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ali-Akbar Salehi, as the new head of Iran's Atomic EnergyOrganization, Fars news agency reported Friday. Salehi will succeed Gholam-Reza Aqazadeh whose resignation wasreported on Thursday.
