Turkey ready to host Iran-world powers nuclear talks

Tehran, September 14, SPA -- Turkey has declared readiness to host nuclear talks between Iran and the world powers, the Iranian network Press TV reported on its website Sunday. The network quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying that his country was ready to host talks between Iran and the five permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany. Davutoglu reportedly hoped that the talks would start soon, according to a report of the German News Agency "DPA". He was in Tehran for a two-day visit and met with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iranian chief nuclear negotiator Saeid Jalili. Ahmadinejad said Sunday that Iran would be willing to talk withthe world powers about international cooperation and find solutionsto economic and security problems in the world. Ahmadinejad reiterated that Iran would not discuss its legitimatenuclear rights with "anyone," including the six powers.
