Jeddah, July 21, SPA -- The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) participated in the recently concluded 5th meeting of the International Contact Group on Guinea in Conakry. Besides the OIC, there were other countries and international organizations present at this two-day important meeting (July 16-17, 2009) which was convened for an in-depth examination of problems standing in the way of the implementation of the time-schedule that should lead the Republic of Guinea to organize free, democratic and transparent elections in 2009. The participants in the meeting of the International Contact Group were received in an audience by Captain Moussa Dadis Camara, President of the Republic of Guinea, who reassured them of the determination of the State of Guinea and its National Council for Democracy and Development (NCDD) to abide by the decisions reached in concert with the international community, notwithstanding the serious constraints noted at all levels.--MORE www.spa.gov.sa/686310
