Kabul, Nov 13, SPA -- A suicide bomber blew himself up in front of a USmilitary base in the eastern part of the Afghan capital Kabul ontoday, injuring 22 people, including nine NATO soldiers, dpa cited officialsas saying. The attack on Jalalabad Road, a locality that houses severalinternational military bases and the scene of dozens of such attacksin the past, injured nine NATO-led International Security AssistanceForce (ISAF) soldiers and 10 civilian contractors, ISAF said in astatement. The statement did not disclose the nationalities of thecontractors. Interior Ministry spokesman Zamarai Bashary confirmed that theblast was triggered by a suicide bomber, who was driving anexplosive-packed vehicle. Sayed Abdul Ghafar Sayedzada, the head of the police"s criminalinvestigation department, said that the suicide attack injured threeAfghans and destroyed four vehicles.
