Sofia, Oct 16, SPA -- Bulgarian customs agents today seized a shipment of28 kilograms of heroin on the border with Serbia, dpa cited the InteriorMinistry as announcing. The drugs, with a street value of 1.7 million euros (2.4 milliondollars), were found stashed beneath the front seats of a carbelonging to a Bulgarian who once previously, in 2000, had beenarrested for smuggling heroin. Bulgaria lies on one of the chief routes for drug smugglingbetween the Balkans and western Europe. Last year the country seizedabout one tonne of heroin.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/709661
