KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, June 22, SPA -- A suicide bomber killed three Afghan soldiers Monday in an attack on a convoy in thesouth of the country, police said. The troops were performing their regular daily inspectionof a highway bridge in Kandahar province for explosiveswhen someone drove a car into the convoy and the vehicleexploded, said Zadi district Police Chief, Niaz MohammadSerhadi. Serhadi said two civilians were also wounded in the blast,along with five other soldiers. In the east, meanwhile, an explosion at a weapons cachekilled a six-year-old boy in a nearby village and wounded20 others, The Associated Press reported.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/677146
