ISLAMABAD, June 22, SPA -- Pakistan's army offensive in tribal areas bordering Afghanistan heated up Monday, with militantsattacking three security force bases and military jetsresponding with air strikes that killed at least 21 people,intelligence officials said. The overnight and early morning clashes follow artilleryattacks Sunday on suspected militant hide-outs in two townsin the northwest that killed 27 fighters, officials were quoted as saying by The Associated Press.
