BAGHDAD, September 12, SPA -- Iraqi police officials say two people were killed in incidents involving bombs in the capital and the northern city of Mosul. In northwestern Baghdad, a bomb attached to a civilian carexploded, killing the driver and wounding two passengers, The Associated Press reported. In Mosul, an improvised bomb went off near an Iraqi armypatrol, prompting soldiers to open fire to scare off anyattackers.
