SRINAGAR, India, April 22, SPA -- A roadside bomb set off bysuspected separatist rebels ripped through a bus in aremote village in Indian-administered Kashmir, killing atleast five people and wounding eight others, police saidWednesday. K. Rajendra, a top state police officer, said the homemadebomb exploded Tuesday near Marah, a mountainous village 105miles (170 kilometers) southwest of Srinagar, the main cityin Indian Kashmir. The bus was apparently targeted because some villagedefense committee members were traveling on it, he was quoted as saying by Associated Press.
