Commenting on the participation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in Group-20 summit, the Jeddah-based Okaz said this development has provided a clear evidence for the Kingdom's important role at the international arena. The paper pointed out that it will be wrong to think that only petroleum and its revenues are the cause for the great importance earned by the Kingdom, adding that unlike several other countries, the Kingdom has successfully avoided the adverse impact of the economic crisis. "This success has enabled the Kingdom to play an effective role at the international arena," said the daily, noting the economic thought in the Kingdom is characterized by a clear humanitarian dimension. "The Kingdom is keen on making prices of petroleum under control when these surpass the fair level, because the Kingdom is keen on avoiding any harm to the economies of the poor countries". "Moreover, the Kingdom has been unwaveringly extending support to the humanitarian organizations and extending assistances to the needy countries," the paper noted. "We shouldn’t forget the fact that the Kingdom has been adopting a reasonable and an objective policy. It is keen on enhancing the pillars of justice, stability and peace in the world," the paper said.--MORE www.spa.gov.sa/651620
