Abha-based "Al Watan" commented on an international issue among other local and regional ones, referring to the high unemployment rate in Britain and its adverse impact on the British economy. It added that the number of unemployed reached two millions, with the expectations of increasing to three millions. Concerning the unemployment in the United States of America, Al Watan noted that the American economy lost two millions jobs during the last quarter of 2008 while the number of the unemployed increased to about 11 millions. As for the unemployment rate in the European Union region, which represents the biggest economy in the world, it will experience an increase from 7.5 % in 2008 to 9.3 % in 2009, then to 10.2 % in 2010, Al Watan added. It pointed out that the Asian economies, which depend on exports as in China, Japan, South Korea, are not in their best status at all while the world economic scene is cloudy.--More www.spa.gov.sa/628744
