CAIRO, August 23, SPA -- Egypt has summoned a senior Israeli diplomat to protest the shooting last week of an Egyptian policeman along the countries' border. An Israeli patrol opened fire and wounded the policeman onAugust 17, the Associated Press reported. Egypt's Foreign Ministry says it summoned an Israelidiplomat on Sunday to demand an apology from Israel. Israel's military said an Israeli-Egyptian team wouldinvestigate the shooting.
