After the talks, the two countries signed two agreements and two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with the attendance of Sheikh Al-Sabah and Zenawi. Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shemali and Ethiopian Labor and Social Affairs Minister Hassan Abdella signed an agreement on workers, while Kuwait's Commerce and Industry Minister Ahmad Al-Haroun and Ethiopia's Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Tefera Deribew signed another agreement on agricultural cooperation. In addition, Kuwait's Foreign Undersecretary and Ethiopia's Foreign Affairs Minister Seyoum Mesfin signed a MoU on holding talks between the two countries' foreign ministries.
