Georgian protests enter 4th week

Tbilisi, Georgia, April 30, SPA --The daily demonstrations demandingthe resignation of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvilihave entered their fourth week, with opposition leadersvowing to continue until the president goes, AP reported. About 2,000 people gathered Today outside parliament,the main site for demonstrations. Protesters also havestationed themselves at the studios of national televisionand at the presidential residence. Saakashvili has suggested dialogue to resolve thestandoff, but opposition leaders say he must go. «We are at any time ready for meetings on the decisivequestion which would help us out of the crisis. Thatquestion is the resignation of Mikhail Saakashvili,» saidSalome Zurabishvili, a former foreign minister underSaakashvili who now leads an opposition group.
