BEIJING, May 18, SPA -- Brazil's President focused on his country's growing trade and investment with China as he arrivedMonday for a summit between two of the world's largestdeveloping nations. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, due to meet with Chinesecounterpart Hu Jintao and other top leaders Tuesday, willalso preside over a business forum and the opening of aBrazilian studies center at the official Chinese Academy ofSocial Sciences. The three-day talks were expected to focus on expandingties, as well as the use of renewable fuels, the preventionof global protectionism and the ongoing economic crisis. Before departing Wednesday, he was also scheduled to visitthe Chinese Aerospace Technology Agency to underscorecooperation and competition between the two nations.
