BEIJING, January 24, SPA -- Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi has renewed China's resolve to work with the United States tostrengthen bilateral ties during a telephone call to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the official XinhuaNews Agency said. During Friday's call, Yang also extended China'scongratulations to the newly inaugurated President BarackObama and his administration, Xinhua said. The exchangecame during the 30th anniversary of official relationsbetween the two sides. «China-U.S. relations are one of the most importantbilateral relations in the world,» Xinhua cited Yang assaying. «China is willing to work with the United Statesto constantly view and handle bilateral relations from astrategic and long-term perspective.» Yang said Beijing hopes to keep strengthening dialogue andmaintaining high-level contacts.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/628983
