PARIS, March 26, SPA -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy's chief ofstaff says President Barack Obama will come to France forcommemorations of the 65th anniversary of the allied D-Daylandings on the beaches of western France in June, AP reported. The U.S. Embassy is not immediately commenting on theannouncement by Claude Gueant. Gueant said Thursday on France-24 television that Obama«will come June 6 for the commemoration of the Normandylanding.» Gueant says Obama and Sarkozy will use the occasion for«longer discussions» than those they will have next monthat a NATO summit.
