BAGHDAD, May 05 (SPA) - Iraqi security forces have killedmore than 30 militants in a new military operation inthe restive province of Diyala, a security official said onTuesday. Colonel Salam Ahmed Najim, a spokesman for securityoperations in Diyala, said that Iraqi police and army were inthe fifth day of the new operation targeting militants in Diyala, northeast of Baghdad. He said 31 suspected militants were killed on Monday alone. Since the operation began, security officials in Diyala said, 60people have been arrested, including three women, and militantsafe houses have been identified. Weapons stores have also been seized, including suicidevests. "The operation will continue," he was quoted as saying by Reuters.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/661111
