Under the title of 'Is it trial of al-Basheer or partition of Sudan', Al-Riyadh newspaper said if we assume that al-Basheer is accused of genocide and displacing the people of Darfur as the memorandum of the International Criminal Court (ICC) alleges, the Sudanese people instead of welcoming the arrest warrant of their President, they demonstrated their support, sympathy and solidarity with him. The paper believes that the decision of the ICC is motivated by political stands to cover covetousness for taking over the mines of uranium and oil in Darfur, adding that ' in other words, it is an international dispute for the partition of Sudan'. The paper said the real trial should be confined to Bush, the junior, or the leaderships of Israel. Al-Riyadh pointed out that the US has unilaterally enacted a law to exclude the Americans from any trial even if they are involved in the crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/641791
