KUWAIT, January 29, SPA -- In the attendance of the Prime Minister of Laos People's Democratic Republic Bouasone Bouphavanh, the Laos Embassy was inaugurated in a special ceremony Thursday, to become Laos' first embassy in the Middle East region. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Acting Oil Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah; Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Faisal Mohammad Al-Hajji; and Advisor at the Crown Prince Diwan and Head of the Accompanying Delegation of Honor Dr. Ismail Khudher Al-Shatti, according to a report of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). After the ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on cooperation in the field of agriculture, initialed by Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Municipal Affairs Fadel Safar Ali and Laos Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sitaheng Rasphone. Another agreement was also signed in the field of tourism, initialed by Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Undersecretary Rasheed Sayed Yusef Al-Tabtabaei and Laos' Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Phongsavath Boupha.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/630764
